Members, Not nearly as much activity for us at the capitol this week as has been for the last month. We had one bill that we opposed in committee and have been working the senate floor on other issues. SB 93 by Sen Hodges was a bill that would restrict trucks from driving on a specific highway in her district. LMTA was prepared to testified in opposition to the bill but she chose to voluntarily defer the bill. We will keep a close monitor to ensure that it does not come back up.

 

We did hit the final bill filing deadline so there will be other bills of interest that will be added to our track.

 

We are still waiting on the lawsuit abuse bills to be heard in the Senate Committee. Hopefully we will have good news soon about those bills!
