The Mississippi DOTD has released the following Traffic Advisory:

 

From the Mississippi DOT:

 

WHO: The Mississippi Department of Transportation (MDOT)

 

WHAT: Temporary Overnight Lane closures. 

 

WHEN: Work will take place overnight from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. starting Monday, May 20, through Thursday, May 23. Work is also scheduled to take place over the weekends of June 1 and June 8, beginning at 7 p.m. on Friday until 6 a.m. on Monday each weekend.

 

WHERE: Both I-55 bridges over U.S. 51 and the CNIC Railroad in Madison County.

 

WHY: Crews will be performing a hybrid polymer concrete overlay as part of ongoing bridge repair work.   

 

HOW: During operating hours, drivers should anticipate moderate delays at peak travel times. Digital message boards are currently in place to alert drivers of the potential delays.
