Below are upcoming deadlines and information for our upcoming Truck Driving Championships. 

• The volunteer sign-up form is now available! All those interested in volunteering may sign up here so we can start assigning coverage. We ask that all volunteers plan to attend the 1:00 PM March 2 meeting at the LMTA Office.
• The deadline for the hotel block is THIS FRIDAY, Feb. 10. Our block is at the Renaissance Baton Rouge Hotel, starting at $139.00 per night. Competitors, their families, company representatives, and volunteers are all welcome to book the block!
• Applications for Safety Professional & Truck Driver of the Year must be submitted by THIS FRIDAY, Feb. 10. Requirement details and applications can be found below and on our website.
• All competitors must be registered online by NEXT FRIDAY, Feb. 17. Requirements and steps for registering online can be found below and on the event's webpage.

We are proud to offer the following awards programs to those throughout Louisiana's trucking industry. These awards are dedicated to safety professionals and professional drivers for improving safety and the image of our industry every day.

The Louisiana Truck Driving Championships (TDC) is a competition of professional truck drivers hosted each year by the Louisiana Motor Transport Association (LMTA) and the LMTA Foundation and is the regional qualifier for the National Truck Driving Championships hosted by the American Trucking Associations (ATA).

As part of the LMTA Foundation's mission to promote safety and highlight driver excellence in Louisiana's trucking industry, there is no registration fee for the Louisiana Championships.

This year, all questions for the written examination are planned to be taken from the 2022 ATA Facts for Drivers. We will be shipping each registered driver a copy after their registration is complete. Books can also be purchased online.

Our 2023 Truck Driving Championships is to be held March 3-4, 2023. The registration, testing and awards banquet will be held at the Renaissance Hotel in Baton Rouge off of Bluebonnet Blvd. The Pre-trip inspection and driving course will be hosted in the Blue Bayou and Dixie Landing Amusement Park parking lot in Baton Rouge.  

HOTEL & ACCOMMODATIONS 

A group rate is available at Renaissance Baton Rouge Hotel from $139.00 per night. Reservations can be booked online, or by calling (225) 215-7000. Competitors and their families, company representatives and volunteers are all welcome to book in the block!

Please Note: When booking online, Marriott policy only allows guests to book 3 rooms at a time. To book more than 3 rooms online, you will have to book multiple reservations - first booking the max, then going back and booking in quantities of 3 until you reach your desired amount. Participants can also get assistance in booking multiple rooms by calling (225) 215-7000.
