LMTA's Safety Management Council (SMC) is excited to announce that our forth Courtesy Inspection will be held outside of Shreveport in the northwest region of the state on Thursday, May 18. Registration is free, and can be completed through the provided links.

These inspections allow participants to work directly with the Louisiana Department of Transportation & Development (DOTD) and other station officials to identify and educate members of the types of issues analyzed during an inspection.

The may 18 meeting will begin with breakfast at 7:30 am at Cracker Barrel in Shreveport (6251 Westport Ave, Shreveport, LA 70029). We will then caravan to the Greenwood Scales outside of Shreveport, Louisiana (77479 1-55 South Kentwood, LA 70444).

NATMI's Driver Certification Program | May 22-24

NATMI’s nationally recognized, university-accredited Certified Driver Trainer (CDT) program is coming to Louisiana May 22-24! CDT is a "train-the-trainer" course for professionals responsible for developing and implementing professional driver training programs.

This course is the first step toward earning a credential to help you become a more competent professional and earn industry recognition and credibility in court testimony. If you have the job experience, you can pay one lump sum that covers all fees for certification and complete the process within a 60-day time frame – or less.

The LMTA Safety Management Council will host a two-day NATMI CDT course from May 22 - 24, 2023, at the LMTA office. More information regarding NATMI and program details can be found below.
