LMTA Voices Concerns About Labor Secretary Nomination

The LMTA has published an open letter to U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy and Senator John Kennedy to oppose the nomination of Julie Su as Secretary of Labor.

We feel, that her support for harmful laws like A.B. 5 in California is concerning and could negatively impact independent workers, especially truckers who are vital to Louisiana's economy. Additionally, her approach of stretching the law instead of enforcing it could lead to the closure of small businesses and increased costs for consumers.
