OVERVIEW: The Louisiana Truck Driving Championships (TDC) is a competition of professional truck drivers hosted each year by the LMTA and act as the state qualifier for the National Truck Driving Championships. During the TDC, drivers compete across 9 categories and are scored on their knowledge and professionalism through a written examination, pre-trip inspection and driving skills test.
Our 2025 Truck Driving Championships is to be held Feb 28 - Mar 1, 2025. The registration, testing and awards banquet will be held at the L'Auberge Casino & Hotel in Baton Rouge. The Pre-trip inspection and driving course will be hosted at the L’Auberge Casino & Hotel overflow parking lot in Baton Rouge. |

CONTESTANT REMINDERS: Contestants are required to arrive on time for each event, as the competition will adhere to a strict schedule. It is the responsibility of each participant to arrange their own transportation between event locations.
Additionally, to maintain the integrity of the competition, the possession or use of phones, smartwatches, or any other non-medical electronic devices is strictly prohibited at all stages of the event. This rule applies even during waiting periods before competing. Failure to comply with these rules may result in disqualification. |

VOLUNTEER REMINDER: There is a mandatory event meeting on February 27, 2025, at 2:00 PM at the L'Auberge Hotel - Chatsworth Room. Here we will assign volunteer roles, pass out volunteer shirts & caps and review championship procedures.
We ask all volunteers wear their red volunteer shirts when working to distinguish themselves to competitors.

*The EBR Sheriff's office will have deputies on watch of all equipment starting at this time.

COURSE COMPETITION VIEWING: The written exam and Pre-Trip inspection portions of the competition are closed to public viewing. However, spectators are welcome to observe the course competition beginning early Saturday morning.
A reminder that contestants cannot leave the contestant "bull pen" area. Spectators are also not allowed to visit competitors in the "bull pen."
The event is open to all, though attendees are responsible for bringing their own seating and refreshments. A designated viewing area along the course is available for groups, resembling a tailgate-style setup. Many companies choose to bring pop-up tents, chairs, and tables, with some preparing their own meals on-site.
Portable toilets, handwashing stations, and trash cans will be provided by LMTA. Coca Cola Bottling Compony United has also provided a trailer with iced drinks available for spectators.
For safety reasons, spectators must remain within designated areas alongside the course. |

PARKING & DIRECTIONS: Parking at both the L'Auberge Main Structure and Overflow Lot is free. Complimentary valet parking at the main L'Auberge structure is also free. Please note that the Overflow Lot has limited parking spaces due to the space needed for the course. It is possible to walk from the hotel and L'Auberge main parking garage to the course if spaces are not available.
Directions from New Orleans: Take I-10 West toward Baton Rouge. Take Exit 177, LA-30 toward St. Gabriel/Gonzales. Turn left onto L’Auberge Crossing Dr. and follow the signs to L’Auberge Baton Rouge.
Directions from Lafayette: Take I-10 East toward Baton Rouge. Take Exit 155A, Nicholson Dr./LA-30/Highland Rd. toward LSU. Follow LA-30 N/Nicholson Dr. Turn left onto L’Auberge Crossing Dr. and follow the signs to L’Auberge Baton Rouge. |

BANQUET INFORMATION: The results of the competition, including the first through third-place winners in each competition class, will be announced during the Trucking Awards Banquet on March 1, 2025 in the L'Auberge Grand Ballroom. A Schedule of Events can be found below:
SATURDAY, MARCH 1
This event will also recognize the winners of the 2025 Truck Driving Championships, as well as the honorees of the Fleet Safety Awards, Safety Professional of the Year, and Truck Driver of the Year programs. Attendees are expected to follow a Sunday’s best dress code. Banquet registration was completed on a company basis and is now closed. |
