Safety Certification Program (CDS & CSS certification), 4.5 days
Certified Director or Supervisor of Safety (CDS/CSS): Includes two courses held back-to-back, followed the next morning with a certification exam:
- Motor Fleet Safety Basics (2 Days): This “Fleet Safety 101” program is designed to provide training on effective implementation of safety-related policies and procedures.
- Managing Motor Fleet Safety Programs (2 Days): This course is designed to provide transportation safety directors and prospective safety directors with the vision and skills that they need to manage an effective safety program.
- Certified Director of Safety (CDS) Exam or Certified Safety Supervisor (CSS) Exam (1/2 Day)
- Within 60 days of passing the exam - complete an online certification application submission detailing your work background and performance.
The courses are accredited for 2.0 CEUs through the University of Denver Transportation and Supply Chain Institute.
Course timeframes are 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. The exam day begins at 8:00 a.m. and ends by Noon.

PARKING:
Please note that there is only limited free street parking around the LMTA building. Vehicles may not park in front of the LMTA building due to city guidelines for the neighboring schools. A paid parking lot is available behind the LMTA building, with access from N. 4th and Laurel Street.
