Description
The LMTA Future Leaders training serves as the group’s winter meeting, held immediately before LMTA’s annual Transportation Conference. The session provides participants with hands-on insight into Louisiana’s legislative process, industry advocacy, and the key issues shaping trucking and transportation.

- 12:00 – 2:00 PM:Legislation & Lobbying Process
- Discussion and Q&A - Featuring Renee Amar with special guest Rep. Dixon McMakin, Louisiana House of Representatives - A younger member of the Legislature and the new voice of the LSU Tigers. Rep. McMakin brings a fresh perspective on leadership, advocacy, and policymaking.
- 2:00 – 3:00 PM: Project Update & Group Discussion
- 3:00 – 5:00 PM: Book Discussion Finish Part 2 and Part 3
- 6:00 – 8:00 PM: Truckers & Topgolf Networking Event
