    • Theme: All American - celebrating America's 250th Birthday! We encourage everyone to wear their favorite red, white, and blue or festive Fourth of July-inspired attire to join in the celebration.

    • Tram to bring participants to the State Park will arrive in the front lobby for 8:15 am, a second will leave at 8:40 am. Between and after these trams, please take any tram labeled "Learning Campus."

Dress Code

Council of Past Presidents Cocktail Hour
Resort Casual – Relaxed yet polished attire, such as polos, sundresses, casual button-down shirts, skirts, or nice shorts and sandals.

Family Night
Resort Casual – Comfortable, family-friendly attire appropriate for an evening outdoors at the beach. 

This year's Family Night theme is All American as we celebrate America's 250th Birthday! We encourage everyone to wear their favorite red, white, and blue or festive Fourth of July-inspired attire to join in the celebration.

Casino Night
Resort Casual – Relaxed evening attire. Polos, casual button-down shirts, sundresses, skirts, or similar resort wear are encouraged.

Daily Programming (Educational Sessions, Meetings & Meals)
Business Casual – Neat, comfortable daytime attire. Polos, button-down shirts, khakis, slacks, sundresses, blouses, and similar attire are all appropriate.

President's Cocktail Hour & Inauguration Banquet
Sunday's Best – Dress to impress! Jackets, sport coats, ties, dresses, cocktail dresses, or other polished attire are encouraged as we celebrate the installation of LMTA's 2026–2027 Executive Committee.


Childcare Services

Childcare services will be available during select evening events at the 2026 LMTA Annual Convention, allowing attendees to enjoy convention activities while their children are cared for in a safe, supervised environment.

Reservations

Advance reservations are encouraged to help ensure appropriate staffing for all children.

To reserve childcare, please visit the LMTA Registration Desk. Be prepared to provide:

  • The day(s) childcare is needed
  • The event(s) and time(s) you will need coverage
  • The number of children
  • The age of each child

Childcare requests will be accepted while space and staffing remain available. Please visit the LMTA Registration Desk for registration times, availability, and any additional information during the convention.

Oyster Shell Decoupage Class – Attendee Information

Spots Available

A limited number of spots have become available for this popular class! If you'd like to attend, please email Burton at burton@lmta.la or stop by the LMTA Registration Desk to reserve your spot. 

Transportation

Complimentary trams will depart from the front of the main lobby at approximately:

  • 8:15 AM – First departure
  • 8:40 AM – Second departure

Please board trams that have "Learning Campus" signs. Regular resort trams will also be operating during this time.

Class Details

Time: 9:00 AM – 10:00 AM
Location: Conservation Hall, Learning Campus

Conservation Hall can be reached via complementary tram and offers air conditioning, restrooms, and water refill stations.

What to Wear

Dress comfortably, as we'll be decorating oyster shells using glue and paint.

Guests who would like to take a brief guided tour of the Learning Campus before the class are welcome to join us. If you plan to participate in the tour, we recommend wearing closed-toe shoes, as portions of the walk may include wooded areas.


Casino Night – Attendee Information

Casino Night has limited availability. If you have not purchased a ticket but would like to attend, please stop by the LMTA Registration Desk to inquire about any remaining openings. 

The information below is for registered attendees.

  • Poker Tournament: Play begins promptly at 8:00 PM. If you are participating, you must be seated by 8:00 PM to be included. 
  • Tournament Awards: Prizes will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place poker finishers.
  • Blackjack & Roulette: Tables will be open throughout the evening, including for guests waiting on or eliminated from the poker tournament. Winnings will be tracked, with prizes awarded to the top two players:
    • 1st Place: One-night stay at The Lodge at Gulf State Park
    • 2nd Place: $100 Lodge Gift Shop Gift Card
  • Beverage Service: LMTA will provide complimentary beer and wine. A premium bar will also be available for cocktails and top-shelf beverages, accepting cash, room charges, and debit/credit cards.
